"Spring at Vesuvius" was featured in 2024 at the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf, a renowned museum celebrated for both historical and contemporary art. It was a great honor to have my work displayed in such a prestigious venue, known for its role in cultural exchange and artistic innovation. The painting captures the spirit of change and renewal that aligns with the museum’s atmosphere, bridging the past and present.

Inspired by my travels through Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples, this abstract piece reflects the beauty of a landscape shaped by both destruction and rebirth. The red and brown tones represent volcanic ash and earth, while soft blue and peach-yellow pastels add life to the scene. The visible sky at the top hints at endless possibilities rising above adversity. Trees emerging from the ashes symbolize resilience and the natural cycle of renewal.

I hope viewers experience a sense of vitality and optimism from this piece. The vibrant colors reflect the joy and wonder I felt in Italy, where history, nature, and life are deeply connected. My aim is to show that even after destruction, there is always potential for transformation and growth.
